Inventory Vending Management Solution

Hi,

Has anyone in this group worked on a solution (light) / process involving implementation of a vending machine that dispenses wide range of cutting tools/products/components/safety equipment's (MRO supplies) etc., on need basis to material handlers working on shop floors. These vending machines are managed by the suppliers. The stock levels in these machines are also maintained by the suppliers. We need to give them a weekly/bi-weekly report of how much was consumed and they would replenish the inventory levels accordingly. The solution is more of a VMI process. However we don't want to implement the complete VMI or Consignement process
