Allow negative availability in Inventory Transfer (Adv WMS On)

We have a business scenario where lot/location are hard committed on sales orders but then the warehouse needs to transfer the committed inventory to a different location.  (Full license plate transfer in most instances)The business does not want to un-commit/transfer/recommit.  The only way we have found to allow this to happen is to set the option to allow negative availability on P4114 processing option that is called by P46L10.. With Adv Warehouse turned on is there any negative consequences to setting P4114 this way?
