I'm new dba and i Wonder if the below scenario woul be possible in real case:

-i have à 11gR2 database running in ibm aix OS

-archivelog is on

-we often take the backup at  23:30 PM (archive log are also backup)

Let's suppose the next day of the backup,in the day, the database can no more start due to a human manipulation at 10:15 am .We decide to restore the database to its situation at 7:00 am

In the morning of the next day, at about 8:24 am, the dba added a datafile(so the previous backup at 23:30 PM will not really reflect the current situation in the database).

Howdy, Stranger!
