Siebel UCM 8.1.1.14 on Redhat Linux 6 Vmware - active/passive possible with Site Recovery Manager ?

We are currently looking to migrate our Siebel UCM system to 8.1.1.14 . We are currently using windows 2008 servers but wish to move to Redhat Linux 6 Vmware as part of the upgrade .

The high availablity option we have for this VMWare is Site Recovery Manager.  Has anyone set up a Siebel Gateway using Site Recovery Manager as active/passive and if so

what was the method used ?

We use IIR alongside Siebel UCM as a matching engine.  Can this also be used with Site Recovery Manager as an active passive set-up  ?
