Moving base level entity to a different hierarchy in Classic

Hi. We need to create a new parent rollup for our Entity structure and move an existing base member to it. However when we attempted this change in our HFM dev envirionmetn, we recieved an itegrity error. Can you please let me know if this type of update is not feasible in HFM classic design?
