Purpose of AGV in PIM

Hi Team

I am trying to understand the purpose of AGV in PIM.

AGV also has data and is better in performance while retrieving data compared to retrieving data directly from the base table.

There is a major difference between cost of query also. With AGV the cost is 2 and with base tables, it comes out to be 14.

Please advise.
