Unallocated space in a disk for disk group extension

Hi, I've created 3 disk groups from 3 disks but now I don't  remember the size/capacity of disks (when disk groups were created) . Is there a way to find out if there is any unallocated space on the disk and we can alter the disk group to extend it?

e.g. Disk A size - 50 GB

disk group size - 40 GB

unallocated disk space - 10 GB

How can I find out from ASM or OS utilities that the 10 GB is unallocated on disk A and we can extend that particular disk group ?
