Dear %,

I was going around the 12.1.2.3.0 documentation yesterday on saw following part that I didn't notice before:

"Oracle Database Appliance X5-2 scales from a minimum of 2 processor cores up to 72 processor cores on bare metal and on Oracle Database Appliance X5-2 Virtualized Platform.

Oracle Database Appliance X4-2 scales from a minimum of 2 processor cores up to 48 processor cores on bare metal and on Oracle Database Appliance X4-2 Virtualized Platform."

Of course in licensing discussions one key is always how you understand the work "processor". Could be a physical core or an oracle CPU metric aso...

The way I understand these 2 parts is that since X4-2 you can license ODA by 2 cores steps per node even in Bare Metal.

Howdy, Stranger!
