FA-Trade In & Mass Retirement

Hi,

1-Trade In- option on retirement form

               I have Asset A as parent and B as a child/component,

               i retire Asset B and use the Trade In field to enter another asset (asset C) to replace the Asset im retiring.

After retirement- Asset B is retired and only Parent is left, plus Asset C remains as it is

Question- M i right to understand that Asset C should have reflected in place of Asset B which was retire i.e on Parent Asset report as a child to parent A?

               Or this functionality works differently to my understanding?
