Database Backup and Recovery (MOSC)

Incremental backup, exclude tablespaces and retention.

Hello,

on one of our databases we are running an incremental backup strategy:

Full Level 0 backups          -          Monday/Thursday

Full Level 1 backups          -          Tuesday, Wednesday,Friday,Saturday,Sunday

Archive Log Backup          -          All 4 hrs

The retention is set to 5 days due to spaces issues. 

My question:  If I'm going to exclude some tablespaces from backup now I fear that last full level 0 backups containing those tablespaces will not be obsolete and cannot be deleted because Oracle wants to keep them to be able to do a reliable restore - but I'm not sure.  Could somebody give me a hint here ?
