Hot Spot/F4211.ITWT Weight Adjustment

I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to change the weight value returned to sales order F4211.ITWT based on a user selection during the Configured Item Process.

Scenerio

User picks answer 10, that answer adds part 1000, that weighs 500lbs to hot spot 999.

User picks answer 20, depending on this answer I would like to add/subtract 100 lbs from the configured hot spot and then to F4211.ITWT(when add to order button is pressed). This answer does not have a part number. It's more or less a routing that would add or move material from answer 10.

I realize i could probably setup a bunch of different items and return an item from a table but that would involve a lot of unnecessary items setup.
