Can we get custom fields in to Production Scheduling?

We need to get some custom item attributes in Production Scheduling such that the data is visible to the scheduler during the sequencing process.  This data is not currently included in the Planning Data Collection, so we would need to know the best place collect it into so that it will be picked up by PS.  Then any recommendations on how to get this data into the PS data so it would be visible, with the default work order information, during sequencing.
