Question about Receiving Clearing Account

Hi guys!

 

I have a question for the SCM experts.

 

In the Inventory module, when I got to Set up /Organizations / Receiving Options, this Clearing account (see attached screenshot). I understand that it is used for Intercompany transactions between operating units. Are there any other types of transactions it would be used for?


And what would be the accounting entries where this account would show up?
