Is there a way to suppress the generation of accounting within channel revenue module?

Client wants to see the accrual of discounts for reporting purpose, but do not want to record liability or generate accrual accounting for the quarterly discount programs.

Is there a way to suppress the generation of accounting with in channel revenue module. If yes , can it be suppressed for some while not for others.
