Change is useful life, depreciation is not changing back

This is what was done:

Changed the life of the asset

Checked box next to amortize adjustment    

Enter the amortization start date to be 1/1/2015

Click done to save record

Run the depreciation    

Create and post entry

Run FA sub ledger report

Compare sub ledger report with depreciation

Depreciation did not change as expected.
