Oracle 10.2.0.5 OpenVMS Cobol Precompiler version compatibility

We are an Oracle on VMS Shop that uses the COBOL precompiler.  Oracle 10.2.0.5 is certified with VMS 8.4. VMS 8.4 comes with Cobol runtime 2.9 . And as far as I can tell, the only certified version of COBOL (development /compiler, not run time) for VMS 8.
