Flexfield Validation Procedure...

Hi,

Is there an Oracle standard procedure/function for validating flex field values?  We are bringing in user-friendly attribute values for hz_cust_accounts from an outside system, and I'm wondering if there's a way to validate the values passed in, based on the set-up of the flexfield, before calling the customer account API.
