Default Contact Alternate Adress to Contact Primary Address

Hi,

we have an request to set the contact alternate address to the contact Primary (=account billing) address. As we have shared addresses enabled I had the naive idea to update the "personal address id" (=alternate adress id) with the Account Billing Id (field on contact). For unknown reasons the personal address id is not availabe in Contact field Management, but the "Personal Address External Id". When I default this to the account billing external id nothing happens.

When I try to update the Personal Address Id via Workflow I get an "Access denied: No update of individual address fields." Any ideas?
