What is a primary Position Heirarchy ?

Hello,

N : UK Super HRMS Manager > Work Structures > Position Heirarchy

There is a check mark called 'primary' in the position heirarchy window.

what is the purpose of it ?

Can an organisation have more than one primary position heirarchy ?
