Validating Employee Address Information(Specifically Zip Codes)

We have had several issues with invalid zip codes being entered when setting up an employee.  I am curious what tools others are using to validate the address information for employees.  We are currently using JD Edwards World, but most likely will be migrating to E1 in the near future so I am interested solutions for those specific applications.
