How to check the status of journal voucher in process for approval

We have implemented the process of Journal voucher approval in General Ledger. We want to know that how a preparer of the voucher can track that where his voucher is lying at a specific moment for approval. Kindly note that in our case approval is required from 3 supervisors therefore there is need to identify where voucher exactly resides at a specific moment.
