Can I use ObjectLevelTransactions argument?

Can I use the ObjectLeveTransactions argument in a custom inbound web service with the class = CSSEAIDataSyncService?  We want to process more than one occurrence of the integration object and treat each one as a single occurence.  We are currently using it in our development environment, and it is working fine.  Now we want to use it in QA and then production.  We are on version 8.1.1.11.
