P05923 Alternate Job Type and Job Step - has anyone had success with this for getting alternate desc

We'd like to know if anyone has had success with the alternate Job Type (AJBC) and Job Step (AJBS) for their Certified Payroll Register.  The R07371 is influenced by the various values set up in P05923 in the CEDT field (Y, N, H) but does not replace the normal description for the timecard JBCD/JBST when the alternate fields AJBC/AJBS are populated with valid values from P08001.  If you've used this successfully, how should a record in the F06923 be populated?
