sendmail[7221]: [ID 702911 mail.alert] daemon MTA: problem creating SMTP socket

In solaris server sendmail is keep on going in maintenanace state. When you enable service it shows problem creating SMTP socket and came to online. After few minutes again it goes to maintenance state. Its not getting delivered and stays in mailq.
