Transfer Supply doesn't relieve reservations

We have the below scenario, hope to get some clarification

1. We have a Sales order 100 with an ATO item A for 10 qty. The Sales order is booked and the line is supply eligible

2. We have another Sales order 101 with the same ATO item A for 10 qty and the 10 qty is reserved against this sales order and the line is Awaiting shipping (not pick released yet)

Due to a  business requirement, we need to Pick and Ship Sales order 100 instead. So, for the sales order 101 we go to the reservations for this item A and SO#101 and from Tools --> Transfer Supply and give the qty as 10.
