Credit memo created in Past Date.

Credit memo is created with Creation date as 20th April and GL Date as 15th May. where as actual RMA order was entered on 27th April and Credit memo was genearated via Auto Invoice request on 15th May. Please clarify what is causing the RMA date in the past.
