Pivot Table in RTF template created blank column

I used the Pivot Table wizard from the BI Publisher Add-in menu in Word for an RTF template. The output is displaying the correct data in the format I need but I noticed I have an extra column that is blank in the table, which is the first column. I am thinking this is due to empty groups in the XML. Also, there is an additional row above the business unit "41". Is there any way I can make these items not display in the grid?
