Can OEM be used to create a dataguard configuration on Database Appliance X5-2

We are in the process of implementing the Database Appliance X5-2. Having no experience with the appliance which exists more as a "black box" than a traditional comodity server, I have several questions regarding the use of OEM with this appliance. Specifically what database management functions can be used once the agent is installed and the latest plug in for the appliance is installed. I'm in the process of upgrading (read re-install) OEM 12.1.0.4  but would appreciate talking to someone that has "been there/ done that".

Please respond if you have or are currently using OEM with the Database Appliance X5-2. Many thanks in advance.
