Siebel 8.1 Allows product to Product line association of M:M. Will compatibility rule validation wor

We have requirement wherein we need to do a compatibility check between a product  and a product line.  We are a DTH company. There is a business requirement wherein business dont want to allow few specific TV channel products to be ordered when a customer already has a package product containing that channel.

For example there is a TV Pack X contains channels A,B,C.  and Also there is  TV pack Y containing channel B,C,D . Customer has already bought the pack X or Y.  He is now without his knowledge trying to buy channel C (defined as a product again for Ala carte purchase).  In this case we should not allow him to buy C since he already has pack X or Y containing that pack.  At present we are defining 2 compatibility rules separately mentioning 1. Product C excludes products X  2. Product C excludes Product Y.
