Cannibalization of Stock Item in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

If stock item is cannibalized and few components are salvaged, how can this be best handled in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.

Example, Laptop is an inventory item. It is defective and organization cannibalizes the laptop and Hard Disk and Battery are salvaged. These can be sold as seconds. How can this be handled in JDE?
