ASM software for 11gr2

Hello ,

I am planning to install the ASM instance for Oracel 11203 Database. My Unix/Storage created the ASM disks and provided the same to me.

Now I need to create ASM instance . from this site I came to know that I have to download "oracel grid infrastructure software" to create the ASM home binaries.

But I do not need the Grid & RAC in my environment , Do I still need to get the run the runinstaller from Oracle Grid software location ? or Can I use RDBMS binaries to install the ASM home.

Please help me on this.

Can we have any high availability for ASM instance incase if it goes down (Stand alone DB without Grid and RAC), If so how does it works
