Virus Scan for File Attachments

Hi,

We would like to have external supplier users uploaded attachments go through a virus scan. Can we use the default functionality available for virus scan for it? i.e. by setting the profile options below and installing the Symantec Antivirus? Has someone done this? Please share your experience.
