MRP and Lot Effectivity Date

Hi All,

I have an Item which has a Lead time of 12 days. There is demand on this item for 10 qty on 7th July. There is also a lot of 20 qty on Q hold which becomes effective on 2nd July. Now when I run MRP on 1st July, it suggests to Order and expedite for the 10 Demand. MRP should not create a message within the leadtime if there is inventory on hand with planned effective date within the leadtime. Is this a BUG or am I missing something in the setup? Could you let me know how to handle this scenario?
