ASCP: Netting At Sub-Inventory Level

Hi,

I am new to ASCP and trying to understand why ASCP is designed in a way that it can not do netting at Sub-Inventory level. As per Oracle design ASCP Plan can calculate net requirements at Org Level only. Why this is so ?

Logically Organizations is not a place where items are stored. Items are always stored at Sub-Inventories. If an Organization stores 10 different categories of items, ASCP should plan for replenishment for each category at Sub-Inventory. Why this is not so ?

Please share your thoughts on this.
