Hi all,
I'm am preparing to migrate our 11.2.0.3 db to 12.1. but I'm quite confused about the various deprecation in 12c release...
This is what I understand reading manuals and MOS:
- streams is deprecated
- DB Upgrade Manual says "Oracle Database Advanced Queuing is independent of Oracle Streams and continues to be enhanced.": so Advanced Queuing is NOT deprecated. Correct ?
- our developers use some message queue in Oracle db: how can I tell if they are using Streams or Advanced Queuing ?
- the statement that Streams is not supported on CDB/PDB (which is the recommended db type from 12c onwards - non CDB is deprecated too...) apply also to
