Tax Exempt Life Insurance
The state of Alaska requires any employee optional life insurance deduction code be exempt from state unemployment tax. We currently use the same benefit plans/deduction codes across all companies in multiple states. Since the pre-tax, and tax exempt settings are at the DBA Code level we are thinking we need to setup new benefit plans/deduction codes for our Alaska company. Has anyone run in to the same issue with this requirement? We are hoping for some type of workaround or setup change instead of adding new plans/deduction codes.
