How to monitor HFM Application servers

Hello Everyone,

Have a 11.1.2.2 305 EPM/HFM/FR/FDM environment running MS-SQL dbs all in Windows 2008 R2 platforms.  We have two HFM application servers in the cluster that users can access when they are working with applications.

I'd like a way to monitor each HFM server separately in order to tell if the server is running and available for our end users.  This would be outside of monitoring the HFM services.

Is there any type of specific URL monitoring that could be done?  What are other companies with multiple HFM application servers doing in this space?
