GL Security rules after upgrade

Hello Everyone

Firstly thanks for all your support

Client is upgrading from 11i to R12, but in 11i they don't have security rules but client wants that in R12.

Can we enable after upgrade without any issue? does this needs to be defined at a particular point of time during upgrade?

I am sure that we can define security rules at any point of time, but don't know in upgrade scenario? any reference will help
