Issue with Renewal service contract

I am trying to create sales orders using order process API and also creating service lines using Order process API. Contract is getting created for the service lines but not able renew the contract. I tried creating same sales order from front end (using order management screen) and service lines  and created contract , but I can renew this contract.  I checked both contracts and sales orders not getting nay difference but still im not able renew contract which is created for sales orders created through order process API. Can you please help me ?
