Campus Mobile v5 - Fatal, undefined

When logging in to the Campus Mobile v5 application on an iOS 8.4 simulator, the What's Happening Today page loads with an error message: headline "Fatal" and a body of "undefined." The navigation doesn't show any of the features besides What's Happening Today, About, and Logout.

All the necessary permission lists are applied via the delivered roles to the user (CS Mobile Student, etc). All necessary service operations also have the HCCPCSSA3000 permission list applied and are active with routings.

If I navigate to Notifications, the following error pops up: "Connection Error. Please try again. If the problem persists, please contact your IT helpdesk."
