Assessing the scope of mass-update to cost components
Hi,
We are evaluating the possibility to perform a massive update to our items cost components definition: most of the cost components currently allocated to items needs to be set to 0 (or simply removed), so that we create new cost components to replace them.
My concerns are:
- Can we perform a (low-risk, if not risk-free) mass update to the items cost components? Is there a program that does so, or we need to do it with an SQL?
- I am not sure how I can find the screens / forms / programs and reports that use each of the cost components, or are impacted by them. I need this information to help evaluate the risk, update the reports and eventually sync with users and departments who might be impacted by this modification.
