Check SAN Controller Settings
Hi,
I have an M5000 Solaris 10 system which I have my suspicions concerning the underlying SAN ( or Controllers ) it is using in regards to performance.
My system is taking twice as long to TAR an archive that another Solaris server is taking for the same file ( 8 hrs instead of 4 hrs ). The 2 systems have similar CPU ( and in fact my system has more memory ). Neither system has any additional workload on it at the time of the TAR test.
However the 2 systems have a different storage solution ( though they both configure standard UFS file systems )
In my case I want to check any settings around the Storage and/or SAN Controllers.
