State Model for BC "Lead"

Hello Siebel Community,

I'm trying to set up a state model for field Status of business Component 'Lead'--class CSSBCLead. Although I enabled the state model at the BC User Property level. I'm still unable to create a new state model in the application as the BC doesn't appear in the pick applet. The query returns empty. Per Bookshelf, state model are for bC class CSSBCBase  and is subclasses.

Does the class CSSBCLead qualify? Has anyone ever successfully set up a state model on this Lead BC? Is there any workaround?

Please help!!
