Depreciation

after setting up a new org in security by book, i realize that i set the current open period one month to earlier. apr instead of may. I havent uploaded any assets as yet, however the period is greyed out.

1. is there anyway to get this period to reopen, if yes how?

2. can i run depreciation for apr n close the period without uploading any asset. if yes, will this compromise the sysetm anyway. or will depreciation wth out any assets entered for the book?

whats by best option?
