Journal Reversal

Hi Experts

Can you please tell me whether reversing a journal and making another journal with reversed debit/credit implies the same thing ?

I have reversed a journal in wrong period.

So what am i planning is to create another journal with reversed debit credit entry. Will that fulfill my purpose ?

I want no data in that period and i have already reversed that journal in some else period.
