MRP - Time Series Calculation Integrity

I have a concern around the (-SHIP) quantity. Currently it is taking the Scheduled Pick Date during the shipment process (PDDJ) and writes the record to F3462 Forecast Shipment Summary File - which inturn is reflected as the (-SHIP) quantity on the Time Series (P3413) Inquiry screen.

My concern is around how we manage sales orders that are loaded months in advance with Promised Delivery and Scheduled Pick dates in the future, but are invoiced today. Some time in the future that Sales Order would appear as a (-SHIP) quantity in an unrelated Time Series bucket.

Is there a way to overcome this issue?
