Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Clone R12.2.3 Change system and weblogic passwords.

All,

The 11.2.0.3 database refresh was completed as apart of the cloning process and the dba went on vacation.

I am starting on the clone process to do the applications tier (r12.2.3).

I do not have the system or weblogic passwords.

I am ready to execute the perl adcfgclone.pl appsTier script but I will need the system and weblogic passwords.

I have the apps password. I note the password file does not exist on the database tier.

1) What is the best method of changing the system password?

I was planning on just using the SQL> passw system command then since I do not know sys either then connect as system and then
