Whitepaper on Tools Release Updates

Hello,

We are going to be updating to Oracle Database 12c and currently are on tools release 9.1.3.  It appears 9.1.3 it not certified for 12c and we have made the decision based on that and the new GL integrity applications that we would like to do the 9.1.5 tools update.  However, this is our first tools update.  I was wondering if there is a white paper or guide that you recommend on best practices for this update.  We are new to JD Edwards and have never been through a tools update.
