dedicated ZFS pool(s) for swap vol, dump vol and savecore directory (dataset)

Hello Experts,

we are having a T5-4 guest LDOM w/ 64 GB MEM running Solaris 10 U11 and SC 3.3U2 on 64 GB rpool (HW mirrored disk on SAN).

At the moment swap vol, dump vol and savecore directory is located directly on ZFS rpool. To ensure that we can perform RCAs (after system crashes/panics) we intend to increase at least dump vol and savecore directory.  64 GB rpool is probably not enough to fulfill the requirements.

There are basically three/four options

#1: extend rpool (resize LUN, use ZFS autoextend)

#2: attach larger disk as ZFS mirror and detach current OS disk

#3: add dedicated zpools for swap vol, dump vol and savecore directory (either one OR two ZFS pools)

Howdy, Stranger!
