Remove optional components after install

I created a database for the Fusion Middleware products. After I ran RCU and created the required schemas for those products, I found out that most of those optional components that got installed when I installed the database aren't actually required by those products, so I want to remove them.

Is that possible? Can I remove those components once the database is already created or do I need to recreate the database without those components? I am particularly interested in removing the JSERV component.
